TV, no TV

Today someone made fun of me because I do not own a television. I really didn’t think it was that fair for them to say such mean things to me. “what? are you kidding? what do you do with your time?” and other such things. Because they made such a big deal about it I didn’t tell them that I don’t have a TV, but I do have a DLP Projector, which to me is way better than a TV. I don’t use it that much though. About the only time we get it out is to play the Wii, or if we are having people over and they want to watch a movie.

Projectors are way entertaining with both kids and animals. We have a 4lb rat (Yorkie) and we thought that it would be funny to watch Berverly Hill Chihuahua. It was a stupid movie, but in one scene a dog runs off the screen to the left, but you can still hear it barking. Well, our dog ran into the kitchen and started going nuts because it couldn’t find the dog. I about fell out of my chair.

Kids are also entertaining with projectors. They will pick peoples noise and make animals on the screen and other dumb things. My favorite is when it’s a kids first time seeing it. WOOOOOWWWWW. It’s a wall TV. They sure will not know what we went through moving the 25 in 300lb TV up a flight of stairs. Now we can move a 60 in with one hand.

Sorry, back to the TV, no TV. I do watch a lot of television. It is a great pass time of mine. I am currently wasting my time with the following shows:

Chuck (Monday)
House (Monday)
Glee (Tuesday)
NCIS (Tuesday)
The Middle (Wednesday)
$!#* My Dad Says (Thursday)
The Big Bang Theory (Thursday)
The Mentalist (Thursday)
Grey’s Anatomy (Thursday)

Chuck reminds me of myself. A Nerd who fixes computers and does other random things.
I like the challenge of this show and Hugh is a great actor. If I were a doctor I would try to guess the case before they solve it on the show.
I am a big fan of music and love this one.
I have seen all 8 Seasons of NCIS and they rock.
This is the best new show on. Brick is my favorite

I’d say I only watch this because my wife does, but I’d be lying.

TV or Not I still wait about 5 and 1/2 hours a week on watching TV shows.

If you don’t use; Hulu, Netflix, or iTunes, you should look into it.

Grown Ups (2010) Review

Today I watch, you guessed it, Grown Ups. Here is a little review about my thoughts on the movie.

I thought it was an alright show. I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone to watch. It had some funny moments, but it had a lot of scenes where they seemed to try too hard to make a point, or to make it seem like it was sad.

Don’t get me wrong though. I did at times have a good laugh, it had some great one liners. This movie stars comedians: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider.

Funny Moment at work

Today at work one of the “Guys” wrecked one vehical into another. ah, I just hate stupid people. Anyway, he walked into the office way upset, it just made me laugh.

Here is what happened. He went to close the overhead door to the shop but when he left the van he forgot to place the van in park (Don’t laugh yet). Before he could stop the van it had smashed the driver door into one of the trucks that was parked behind it. The van doesn’t look as bad as it is, but we are looking at least $1500 for the repair. Oops
