Over All this game gets a Game on.
Last Friday the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the 3DS came out! I had pre-ordered the game. If you would like to order the game click here.
Cam: Game On
I played through the game, and I have decided that it is worth the hype. This game is easily the best game I own on the 3DS. The controls are OK, but not necessarily the best. (Mostly a problem with the camera angle, which I assume will be fixed with the C-Stick on the new 3DS.) When you play as a Goron, in the N64 version, you hold A to roll, and let go to stop rolling. That is not true for this game. You press A once to roll into a ball, and push in a direction to roll, and push A again to restore. This has messed me up so many times while playing. I hold A and roll, and let go of A right at the end of the cliffs, only to roll right off. This is the only problem that I have. Once you get used to it however, it makes “pounding” as a Goron ball much easier. Otherwise, I have no more complaints about the Goron mask. They moved the location of a couple of masks. I don’t want to give away where they are, but it was a lot of fun to look around for the masks. It made it feel like I was playing through the game for the first time again. One of the best things that they added into this version is that when you play the song of double time, instead of going forward to 6 AM or PM, you can choose what time you travel to in the future. When you are a Zora, you have a new special ability that will allow you fight the water temple boss easier, and funner. Over all I would HIGHLY recommend this game. With the addition of the sheikah stones, it makes it easy for new players to get into it, while keeping the same challenge that veterans are used to, and can enjoy. Did you enjoy this game?
